Davistow Darters 204 beat
Pickford Panthers 86 & 117 (f/o) by an innings and three runs

At the Davistow minefield, the Panthers were woefully short of firepower, and were thoroughly outplayed by a rampant Darters side. Dawlat Ameer hit 76 in the first innings, well supported by David Comley's 35, and though the total of 204 did not look threatening, Dave Watt and Vikram Pradeep quickly made it so. Earning full bowling points for a fiery performance, the two bowled 21.2 of the 24.2 overs, while Comley snuck in to take the wicket of Jacob. Watt's four for 41 in the first innings was followed up by four for 32 in the follow-on, while Comley took the heart out of the middle order with four wickets and the Darters easily gained victory.
Nixonstown Foxes v Greater Robbham de Grooters @ CW Oval

The opening partnership between Alex Feeney and Matt Pitt wrested this game beyond the Grooters, and though the desperate act of bringing on Rob Dauth reaped dividends, the pair hit 146 runs. This was followed up with half-centuries from Gray and Sanjeet, but Callum McKern and Mat Mitchell also got three wickets when they got control of the ball against the tail-enders. Paddy Gundry's leg spin then ripped through de Grooters, as the young lad ended with six for 41, including Dauth and Dobson for single figure scores, prompting a collective "Meh" from the Red stars. Following on, Dauth repaired his first-innings failure with a blistering double ton, including partnerships of 179 with Sajith and 157 with Sukhvinder, and de Grooters declared 251 ahead with three hours to go. It turned out to be a stroke of genius; Mat Mitchell held a return catch off Feeney with the fourth ball of the match, and Pitt and Gray followed in the succeeding overs. Ian Markus slogged his way to 27, but by the end of the last hour Robbins had once again turned to Dauth. After his first eleven balls went for 25, Robbins must surely have questioned his decision, but Prestwidge was trapped lbw with the last ball of the over and shortly afterwards Dauth also had Sanjeet. Slow left armer Finnegan then wrapped up the innings, and de Grooters had completed a stunning turnaround.

The match at Gofftown was spoiled by the rain, as neither team managed to force the required runs in a slow match. Arunava Das hit a fine half-century in the first innings, but the total of 303 was par for the course, and Shan Jasotharan's slicing effort of 99 boosted the Tigers to 283 despite only three batsmen really firing. Jack McNamara was trusted with 30 overs, and had one great spell, but was otherwise outplayed by team-mate Cotterill. The Titans went into the pavilion on the second day with the scoreboard showing 132 for 6, after Stephen Burke had been bowled for a golden duck by Colts team-mate Greg Thomas, and Thomas continued to take five for 58. The Tigers then started in rampant fashion, attacking to 25 for 0 before rain set in, ruining one and a half hours. After tea, the rain largely kept away, and Rob Malone's 66 not out nearly took the Tigers to a victory. However, with 15 overs remaining and 30 runs left to get, the heavens opened, and the Tigers' well-paced chase was ruined.

Neither team impressed with the bat, but that was largely due to the depth of the batting line-ups. First, the Jets lost their last nine wickets for 60 to crash to 85, Gareth Gooljar getting three wickets and for once taking the number five, while Andy Cameron took five for 21 in the first 10.2 overs of his spell before Jacklin and Dunks played out a bunch of maidens. By stumps on day one, the Jets were 46 for 3, with Gooljar having removed opener Wallis for 12. Bad light and rain played its part on the second day, but the headlights were on Prabhakar Rao and Innes; the pair added 73 for the eighth wicket to score 167 and ensure a competitive total. Cameron then celebrated another five-for to end with match figures of 11 for 42, and Bennett ended the match in stylish fashion with three wickets to secure a 98-run win.
Edfield Seahawks v Garven Island Sharks @ PDV Dome

The Seahawks went in with what was on paper a fantastic batting line-up, yet only Gary Nayak fired - and how he fired. In 122 balls, he hit ten fours and a total of 104 runs, before snicking behind to Don Lezama. No one else passed 20, thus the total stayed on 170, but Nayak had at least prevented total disaster. On a spinners' wicket, Rai and Whitehead then bowled a long tandem spell to reduce the Sharks from a cruising position at 126 for 2 to a seven-run deficit, despite dogged resistance from Gregory and Stuart. The seamers were left at deep midwicket wondering when they were going to be called in to bowl. However, the Seahawks failed to back up their bowlers, crashing to 72 despite Rose going wicketless once again, and a big partnership between Shaukhat and Monaghan settled the matter.
