*** Official *** South African Domestic Season 2019/20

Atherton interviewing Ali Bacher. Eye opening.
Yup it was a very cool interview.

Always find it amusing that the implementation of quotas by Ali Bacher and co saw Adam Bacher lose his spot.

The Hansie segment was pretty tough.

Bird with his first 50 for the Cobras and Hamza continuing his good form.

The bowling though torn apart again this season. This time by Snyman for the Knights. Match winning knock.

First v Third in PMB today.

Not sure when the next televised domestic game will be with the Australian tour on the go. Looked ahead and don't see anything televised in the next 2 weeks. Not sure how late they make a decision to televise a domestic game.

Truly pathetic...

Erwee & Muthusamy struggling to get it off the square. Warriors still in it.

Roelofsen again showing his qualities.

M.Ackerman's niche is as an attacking 4-day batsman at this stage. Looks like he needs to find ways to adapt his game for limited overs cricket.

Markram back for titans. 2/31 in his 6.5 overs so far. Wickets of Erwee and Ackerman. Took the catch of the only other wicket to fall. Captaining the side as well.

Good to see him back. Think he needed a break to re-assess things. Maybe just lightening the intensity he has but still staying determined.

Seems like absolute carnage at the back end.

Corbin Bosch going at 6s and Dala and nearly 8s after 10 overs. Durbz for you.

Dolphins set for another win.

Markram out for 36 in his first game back.

Interesting that de Zorzi is now in the middle order.

I assume Coetzee is still injured?
He must be.

Part of the frustration is players like Jason Smith, Nandre Burger, Eathan Bosch, Gerald Coetzee, Marco Jansen, Wiaan Mulder, Bryce Parsons missing out on game time in this 50-over comp either due to injury or selection limitations.

Is Dayyaan Galiem injured ? Not sure why he has missed the last 2 games for the Titans. Nothing was mentioned in squad releases.

Something that is bugging me.

So the Lions team

1. Ryan Rickelton
2. Reeza Hendricks
3. Kagiso Rapulana
4. Nicky vd Bergh
5. Wihan Lubbe
6. Delano Potgieter
7. Nono Pongolo
8. Bjorn Fortuin
9. Eldred Hawken
10. Aaron Phangiso
11. Malusi Siboto

Dom Hendricks was coming in for Reeza when with SA. Beuran played last game for Pongolo. Not sure if Hulk will play now ?

So it is really tough to see Josh Richards playing in the limited overs team anytime soon. The reason Rickelton finds it tough to get a fair shot in FC cricket.

My problem comes with Bryce Parsons and Wiaan Mulder. How the **** are we going to fit these 2 cricketers into the Lions team ? They are probably best talents who can bat in the top 6 and get through 10 overs ?

They will play, just because CSA will demand it... but this is one of the reasons we need to go back to a FC structure.

But how can they demand it ?

If guys like Lubbe , van den Bergh, Potgieter deserve their spots ?

Would probably say Hawken is easiest white player to dispense of in that team for the Lions but outside of Beuran Hendricks and Kagiso Rabada they don't have seamers who are strike-bowlers so they almost have to play him.

SeamUp

Still no Mulder for the Lions. Parsons is good enough to be in the mix at this level like Bird has been straight out of school.

Marco Jansen is back for the Knights. Replaces Raynard van Tonder. Still no Gerald Coetzee.
