What do you think?

Two conferences of nine teams subdivided into 3 leagues of 3 teams
10 Regular season games[
Conference Semifinals (Quarterfinals)@ 2 games one home and one away
Conference Finals (Semifinals)@ 2 games one home and one away
Grand Final Northern Conference champ v Southern Conference champ 2 games one home one away with a 3rd game option

The maximum number of games that can be played in 17.

At least we would have a grand champion.

All regular and postseason games would be over 5 days to factors in UK weather and the need for results.

NBA-NFL-MLB are played primarily on one continent(some NFL games are played in England).

Hard to see this happening with international cricket.

It is essentially IPL

Whoops

I am more thinking of the county championship there are two divisions the games become meaningless towards the end of the season so I am thinking why not have a bit of a league for the county championship together with the cut throat of the NFL/NBA/Baseball playoffs. Or forget that there are 6 league games in the UEFA champions league followed by the last 16,8,4,2 and as you know Man Utd got PSG shortly.

The point is you get regular games to rev yourself up for the playoffs such as in the NFL which had its Superbowl last night.

Why wouldn't the ECB was some sort of definitive champion that shines a light on the 5-day game remember ODI and T20 ruling the roost attendance and moneywise?
