I'm shocked that the Bulls manged to run through the Vics today after three fairly large scores in the first three innings. Even if the Bulls don't make the Shield final at least they got a win against them.

I was pleased, but not shocked as we finally picked our best bowling combination we have (when Harris is unavailable) and we also picked our 5 best batsman too. Not to mention it was our first game at the GABBA. Anyway, it was must-win and keeps us alive in the comp.

abbott bowled more maidens in his last match than had in all his other FC games this season (11 in first innings, 2 in second innings. now 22 for the season) and got his eco rate closer to 3.5 than 4 an over

Mainly the battle of the tweakers was to hopefully demonstrate the stupidity of the selectors losing their collective **** over Maxwell, Doherty, Agar and Ahmed as real or potential test bowlers over the winter. A disgraceful effort by the South Australians to gift X a bag notwithstanding (even in pursuit of quick runs that is just not acceptable) it is having the desired effect so far.
