Most of his sponsorship deals would be base around playing for Australia. If he loses his CA contract and never plays for Australia again, most of his sponsor would walk. He wouldn't get paid much playing domestic cricket in Australia. Main reason why guys like Harvey went to SA to play domestic cricket after they lost their CA contracts. And other guys jumped on the ICL contracts and play county cricket till they are 40 and some 5-10 years after retiring from domestic cricket in Australia. You get paid basic wage, with little sponsorship options playing just domestic cricket in Australia.

The top domestic dogs can pull $130 000+ just playing for their State.

Not a bad earn.

Symonds wouldn't be interested in a fulltime Qld season though.
