Look, it's no more than a couple of hours drive from anywhere in England to anywhere else. Just buy the tickets and drive down.
Unless you're in Devon or Cornwall in which case it's a seven hour drive, best not to drive down though as you'll end up in the sea.

I'm not sure the modern wonder that is the combustion engine has reached Cornwall yet so I wouldn't worry about that. :p
