Yeah it was just an "out of interest" thing. One would imagine that both their averages and WPM figures would be higher for those matches, but gut instinct says that at least in Warne's case, the average would drop and WPM would increase.
One has to wonder how many matches they would have played without each other. I mean, even in ashes '05, where McGrath was injured he still played 3/5 tests.
