    Dog plop fielding there.
Cricket Web's 2013/14 Premier League Tipping Champion

    - As featured in The Independent.

"The committee discussed the issue of illegal bowling actions, and believed that there are a number of bowlers currently employing suspect actions in international cricket, and that the ICC's reporting and testing procedures are not adequately scrutinising these bowlers."
    - Even the ICC's own official press release thinks things must change

Why don't India hire somebody like Jonty Rhodes as fielding coach?
Beware the lollipop of mediocrity. Lick once and you suck forever...

Think he's employed by South Africa at the moment.

Do India even have a specialist fielding coach though?

Think it'd be a "polishing a turd" scenario, really.

Any mention of the crowd size as yet?
    You know it makes sense.

Was a great start by Khan this morning I felt but almost bowled too good for anyone to get an edge. Australia have wrested control now and I'm not sure how two spinners on day 1 is going to pan out for the Indians.

Either way, If I were India then I would hire the best fielding coach in the world that is not taken by another country (or aoffer more money so that they quit and come to India). Trevor Chappell was once Sri Lanka's fielding coach and IIRC he did a good job in that capacity.

Perhaps he (Kumble) gambled on winning the toss and batting.

Where India have failed after a good start is to they have failed to restrict the scoring. The pressure totally lifted when the runs came. There was no plan in place to slow the scoring up once it started. This is something that will need rectifying to be competitive in this series.
