***Official*** Bangladesh in Sri Lanka

Rasel and Shahadat have destroyed the Sri Lankan top order! 4/67 and the spinners haven't even been used yet. Samaraweera is trying to hit Shahadat out of the attack and doing a good job it seems

Javed and Bashar are looking very good at the crease. Pitch isn't doing much and the batsmen have just played some neat strokes through point and mid-off

Aww, Shahriar Nafees got out cheaply. He looked very promising in the ODIs in England, could be a good Test player as well once he gets past that first hurdle and puts up a few good scores. Hopefully Ashraful can convert some of his talent into runs today as well.

James, how are you watching this, btw?

Very good slower ball from Dilhara brings an exciting innings to an end. We're in deep trouble now.

Familiar capitulation for Bangladesh unfortunately. Seem to be doing alright in their second dig though, 106 for 3 with Shahriar Nafees and Ashraful still in. Hopefully Shahriar can get a big score this time, he's going to be Bangladesh's most important player in Tests and ODIs before long I think.

Maiden Test 50 by Shahriar Nafees, in his second match. Hope he gets a century, though he hasn't actually managed one at FC level.

OK, no century then. Interesting to compare Ashraful's first innings (42 off 41, 5x4, 2x6) with his second (21* off 60, 1x4). Odd.

What do you have to say about the Lankan team composition? Sangakkara's keeping is debatable, but it has offered them an option to play an extra bowler. They tried out Wijekoon in the previous Test series, but they've now got five specialists. Come to think of it, Moody seems to be trying hard to get more runs out of Vaas. Interesting. A pity Wijekoon didn't last long, but he's still a better choice than that other all-rounder they tried in ODI's.

i think Sangakkara's keeping has improved and Vaas has immense talent with the bat. he's an allrounder in my book. wijekoon is ok. but he's not very effective in SL pitches, low bounce, no seam movement. i think they used Dilhara the wrong way. in ODIs he came out and just smashed the ball around and didn't last long. i guess he's not pinch hitter type.

I think SL was trying to go easy on bangladesh by not bowling Murali too much on the 2nd innings. Attapatu was rather trying to give a chance to Herath.

So far, there haven't been too many bloopers, but given his World Cup bloopers, you can never tell.

But what happened to Lanka de Silva? He has an average of 53 in 11 matches, with a strike rate over 80 and two over 50. Romesh returned to form and he lost his place in the side.

A rather under-achieving all-rounder, too. Let's just hope Moody's effort helps.

Looking at FC stats, Wijekoon's better. LHD Dilhara sems a swing bowler, but lacks pace, while he needs to stay out there a lot longer when he bats.
