Interesting question on the laws of cricket

It appears that in a further demonstration of Australian professionalism Brett Lee was sent out to bat as nigh****chman at the fall of the 5th wicket. He had made about 5 steps onto the field when...

    the umpires called time.

Will he have to bat tomorrow morning?
