I can't entirely count myself out, because while we saw some wonderful performances (most notably McGrath on the first afternoon and Katich's combatting the pitch on the third day) we also saw a lot of dross.
I don't mind it occasionally. I think it should hapen more often. It adds surprise to the contest. If pitches are always flat or always dicey, then it becomes predictible.

Oh, I quite agree, I hate pitches being the same all the time.
But I do feel this pitch could have been better timed.
Maybe for the Third Test or something.
