That's the end of Verhoevens primary training, I'll give him a stamina net at some stage. I'm not sure what to do with his bowling net though. I could give it to Bosnich, who already has 2, or I can give it to Hamlin, who only has 1 atm. Thoughts?

EARLOBE

State 12th Man
Anyone???

Also looking for an allrounder to replace him with... what kind of plaayer would i be looking at? (as in primary's)
I'm looking for an all rounder too. But not quite that good. More like superb/superb. Anyone have an idea of how much that would set me back?

Through to the next round of the cup with a comfortable eight wicket win, and GFIing the next round should ensure that I make it another step.

Just the one pop as far as I can see:

Jeithoon popped to exceptional cons, to go with his exquiste bowling. 3-4 weeks from masterful bowling.

After my team's batting performance in the cup against a decent bowling attack. I decided to not to buy a new batsmen, they seem to be going to job for the moment. Just going to save for YP next year and train a new opener. So not interested in Hiller or Mike's guy.

Random draw ftw. Mind you only one home match so far is pretty dire.

Just had a look at the side I have to play. They have improved their depth since I played them in my old D2 league two seasons ago. but basically they have couple massive guns (including a SL NT international) and then some average players. If we can get through their top 3, we should roll them fairly cheaply. Their seam attack is pretty good, but on the right pitch and right tactics who should be able to score a decent total.

They also have some massive PFL issues, which is where I could have an massive advantage. They did beat a D1 side last round, so if there top players step up it could be too much for us. Reckon we have a good chance at semi spot though.

Bideford Haymakers
Top Order: exquisite
Middle Order: proficient
Lower Order: woeful

De Zoysa v Jeithoon might decide this match. In the last two matches we have played De Zoysa got two hundred, but Jeithoon dismissed him in the first game.

Just one, and it's taken so long to come I'm not sure he'll make me much money now. Not sure whether to just keep training him or not; he's not exactly a sparkling prospect, but I do badly need more batting.

Francis Vaughan - 17 yo, BT Rating=7,777

Nah, think I'll offload him, buy filler and await a decent batting YP next season when I've got more nets free. Any guesses as to what he might fetch on the TM at the mo?

i say concentrate on the cup for the time being, unless you've bigger aspirations in od or fc. if you can reach the semis this is something you can always brag up a storm about later at the cricketweb battrick forum.

hmm. good week training wise, although as a rule, this means training won't be so good next week. oh well

got no where with my complaint about the transfers of organ and graham after apparently the prices they fetched were around market value anyway, which, imo, is not true. but as rodgie found (hehehe), trying to fight it won't do any good, so i'll let this one be.

sweeney will be listed tonight for 5mil for anyone who is interested, as the final phase of the bowling side of the rebuild commences. next plan will be to sell hamshaw at the end of the season. i have to say my transfer dealings have not been good for my side. the organ transfer has to an extent really sodomised my team. but not to worry. i've figured a plan to have 4 bowlers receiving training by the end of the season which should bring my attack up to par with other sides. not to confident about the cw cup this season i must admit, just as long as we do better than chaminda, i won't mind :)
