Just want to start by saying how much I love my side. These guys have so many better batsmen and we plug and plug away until we get all our bowling points AND keep the run-rate down AND get a first-innings lead. Smart was immense today, taking three huge wickets and Holmes did very well aswell. Going the bash tomorrow morning and then going to have a bowl again. You never know.

Good on ya mate, have been following your game and your boys have done really well so far - I'll be rooting for you to get the win on the final day!

As for my guys...

End of Over 59 (2 runs, 1lb). The Heath CC: 317-0, runrate=5.37
Lead by 98 runs. (Jacksons Giants 219-10)
Guppy 16-3-54-0
Grant* 148 (194 balls)
Bartlett 152 (168 balls)

And Grant has just brought up his 150 from the first ball of the 60th over. Doesn't look like Kepler will get that much of a bat at this rate - declaration target is set for 500 but Jacksons Giants don't look like taking a wicket.

(Cue wicket falling any moment now. My money's on Grant.)

Bowled my bot out for 4 in their second innings.

krayzie02 first innings - 62
Saggers Mob first innings - 7/556
krayzie02 second innings - 4

One of the four runs was an extra as well

...and there's the win, by an innings and 121 runs. Brooker, who was clearly getting bored out there, took four in an over (126/4 to 126/8) to expose the ferrets. Then, evidently narked at Carter's lack of penetration, came back and wiped them out in consecutive balls.

The extra day's recovery time will be most welcome.

I get to play this bunch next week as well, on my home patch. I'll probably set it up for a short match, and go almost full-strength. Either that, or rest two bowlers.

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 148 (Maiden). Rudgelevens: 569-10, runrate=3.84
Lead by 437 runs. (BEST Indies 132-10)
Bell 31-5-125-2
Pretorius* 120 (177 balls)

Think were back in it now!

Feeling pretty smug right now, as I've judged it almost perfectly today.

Jacksons Giants: 219/10
The Heath CC: 502/2dec (103) Grant 186, Bartlett 170, Kepler 67*, Gibson 50*
Jacksons Giants: 50/5 (20) Woods 4/20 (10), Westwood 1/15 (8)

The declaration target was just right, enabling Gibson to get his 50 and finishing the innings without giving away a bowling point, leaving us 20 overs to make early inroads. In the first innings, Woods single-handedly reduced Jacksons Giants to 19/4. Today, with a little help from Westwood, Jacksons Giants were reeling at 14/5. Their last two recognised batsmen put on a bit of a recovery but with Woods hopefully at sublime and set to very attacking tomorrow, we should wrap it up quickly for maximum points to take us up to 2nd in the league.

Tense day ahead for the Tigers. We're behind by over 100 runs with 7 wickets to get. If we can get the rest for 100 today we may be in a shot to win, but have set my openers and #6, 7 to defensive just in case we need to bat a draw.

Gleeson set to very attacking and should be bowling first up today.

Lose 70k of income, but PFL's more important.

Will cross my fingers for a draw between Canton and Blue Hoops now. Would give me a 9-point buffer at the top. :)

End of Over 6 (1 runs). Tawonga Tigers: 12-1, runrate=2.00 (1st Inn: 286-10)
Trail by 220 runs. (*** Pistols 372-10 & 146-10)
Hunukumbura 3-0-3-1
Siyabonga* 5 (9 balls)
Rhodes 3 (23 balls)
Last Wicket: Thomson c. Mason b. Hunukumbura 2 (FOW: 3/1)

Thomson with another failure. He's a prof/feeb bat and can't muster more than 2 runs in 2 innings. Dire.

Our bowlers put us in with a chance. Now I hope we can get the target within a day.

19.1 W Erasmus to Macken
Macken has gone down the pitch, but the ball has turned sharply leaving Macken stranded. Nomvete has no hesitation in whipping the bails off.

End of Over 19 (Maiden). Para Hills XI: 109-0, runrate=5.74 (1st Inn: 252-10)
Trail by 176 runs. (Magical Ponies 537-10)
Drench 2-1-7-0
Macken* 46 (46 balls)
Heard 50 (72 balls)

Need wickets fast if I'm going to win tbh. Proud of Nomvete though, he's a worthless keeper.

Edit: Razzle Dazzle and Nommers on fire

Straightforward outside edge into Nomvete's gloves.

Batsmen are dominating. They have about 67 overs to chase about 440 now. Awesome batting by 'Hurst.

Touch and go for our guys. Likely to head for a draw, good chance we'll win, slight chance we'll lose. Anything could happen. Stay tuned.

Got them 59/2 after 15. About 50 overs left to get the other 8. Very conservative with the declaration, but I wasn't going to lose this match.

EDIT: Holmes gets Sellars! Three down. Could we...

after day one, we had let the opposition post 458/4dec, and by stumps were in big trouble at 60/3 with duggan out very cheaply after his one day international debut 24 hours earlier.

today has been a different story. we declared at 454/6, with morrison scoring another double 100 and crappy youth pull, fish (med/med batsmen) scoring a stunning 100. trafalgar had moved through 104/1, but are now in big trouble at 110/4 with their former nt batsmen dismissed by lee. game on

My captain is getting fired after this game. He was supposed to declare overnight for whatever we got yesterday. I swear I put the right total in the 1st innings declaration. This is the dumbest FC game my teams played so far.

Trying to hold out for a draw here, which means that these two need to bat out at least the next 30 overs together, as there are no more batsmen left in the shed.
