Battrick Cup 4 - Plate Championships

Bobisback

International Regular
End of Over 20: 130-1, runrate=6.50
End of Over 30: 172-1, runrate=5.73

Sad Decadent XI have put the brakes on. Was worried about chasing 350+ now they might struggle to break 300. Still wont chase it, but thats not the point.

I got my highest evers score against Wright's Warriors. I played my four worst specialist batsmen possible in the top four, so i didn't smash him too much. It didn't really work, Sishayi (101) and Obeysekera (122*) got their first hundreds. Allison got his highest score for us too 71, only really the 2nd chance he had to bat though.

End of Over 50: 388-3, runrate=7.76
Morgan 10-0-83-2
Ellis* 2 (2 balls)
Obeysekera 122 (83 balls)

Last Wicket: Allison c & b. Morgan 71 (FOW: 375/3)

Hopefully my 2nd string bowling attack is nice to his batsmen.

End of Over 25: 105-2, runrate=4.20, reqrunrate=6.84 (275-9)
Wiese 3-0-17-0
Coates* 21 (53 balls)
Paris 43 (47 balls)

Last Wicket: Findlay lbw b. Hook 18 (FOW: 44/2)

Code:

Pitched up and swatted out towards the leg side boundary, a great catch on the ropes denies him the six.

Alshaun 6-0-32-1

When Hiller fell for 60 i thought the match was over, then when Hocking fell for 142 i assumed it was time for a collapse, but the opposite came, an insane 45(19) by Allison gave my team their first win of the cup, including the main one.

Wikus's efforts with the ball were also one of the major parts of my win, getting smashed for 30 or 36 of his first 5 (cant remember) he came back to finish with 1/42.

Didn't get chance to change my orders from Friday's game against a crap team. :(

Well played Ash, a solid win jusfified by the ratings.

Tables after 2 rounds

Group A

Code:
	                Pts	NRR
Viveash 4	2.12
Boggles 2	0.75
Victoria Panthers	2	-1.97
Pup 0	-0.90
Group B

Code:
	                Pts	NRR
Jaffna Jets 4	5.93
Sad Decadent XI 2	3.73
Bobisback 2	-0.85
Wright's Warriors	0	-8.80
The losses for favorites Boggles and Sad Decadent have really made things wide open for the finals spot. Viveash and Jets look the favorites to make it through now. I'll do the NRR later this week, as i think he might make the difference.

Also so you guys know we will be having 3rd place and wooden spoon playoff as well as the final if you guys want.

Quite disappointed by my loss. Thought the team was better than that...
I wouldn't be too disappointed Dwyer's Top 3 pretty gun, i'll challenge you tommorow.

BARNES OUT
Gravey's only respectable/respectable and Hocking and Hiller are both Strong or high Proficient.

Not that gun. (Must add they're better than my top 3, must be said)
