Where should i improve

First Class Debutant
I've found a few comp/comp/med 17yo on the market that go at the 50-80k mark, I picked up a batsmen and a bowler both under 80k. About to get an all-rounder as well for under 75k.

One of the funniest things I've seen on the market is a med/med/feeb 17yo go for more than a comp/comp/med 17yo within a hour of each other.
My team a bit past buying comps and med players. Mind you I got a few for 20k when I started. Pricing must be increasing for all levels now.

Is there any need to keep hold of Beattie or Ridegameneragedera?
Jervis is up for sale - either cash or sacked.
Krause... well, he's got 10k rating, but can't see him ever being a fixture - he's first class backup as are Tulley, McGregor and Skalding (play every First Class game to keep the main bowlers' fitness as high as possible)

Nets are currently:

Batting: Huddlestone, Ireland, Middleton, Batty, Krause
Bowling: Krause, Batty, Tulley, Ireland
Fitness: Antoine
Keeping: NONE

I'm thinking that Krause's nets are wasted, but who should get them instead?

I've got a number of 'Quality' players, but seem to hit a ceiling at this point.

Would be interested in buying Ridegameneragedera, depending on the price.

Would sell your decent backs so you can upgrade on your qualities.Probably got too many decent players and not enough gun players really.

Hmmmm... My thoughts exactly, but it seems you need about $6-7m to get anything even slightly better than Quality.

I need to keep hold of Ireland, - i'd like to get him up to Quality batting and Wonderful bowling. I'd like to keep training Middleton until he's Remarkable/Remarkable and I don't think Batty's too far off being a proper first teamer. He should make Superb primaries for both batting and bowling sometime next season I'd guess.

Any idea how much money Rideegamenagedera and Krause would make? I think Krause might be fairly close to pops in both primaries too - which could well boost his value somewhat.

You probably need to also sell your older quality/superb players as well if you want to upgrade as well. Rather then just selling your back ups. You got enough depth to cover their lost. But looking at your side you probably need more top line players. There nothing really wrong with having say a couple proficient bats at 6 or 7 and your 5th bowler being proficient as well. Thats if you have remarkable plus players as your main players, probably need exceptional type players long term though. As you probably have noticed quality players only do so well against decent sides. So some of those older players will probably hold you back rather then keep you going.

Krause I would probably keep for a while unless you get in a really good trainee, who needs his nets.

Adu usually outperforms his ability (I'm guessing due to his additional experience over others)

I'd like to replace Rob Wright; but need a replacement captain in order to do so whilst Murdoch and Cooper are seemingly decent players but do tend to underperform against their ability.

Its a pretty tough spot to be in - I probably have to take a couple of big risks in order to improve the team.

Basically, Rideegamenagedera, Beattie and Wright are on the chopping block simply because they're not good enough and are not going to improve. However, I can't just afford to give them away as I won't be able to replace them with scraps.

Adu better performs might have to do with a slightly better secondaries. I would sell guys like Murdoch, Cooper and Marsh. As they have average secondaries and aren't going to improve much more if at all. The other thing with your side is your trainees. Apart from Ireland and maybe Middleton rest are just decent and wont be that much better then your current lot of players.

Got to take a punt with your side or they will always be there or there abouts it seems. Need higher quality trainees or just better first team players. You don't need that much depth, even with FC.

I think I'll stick a couple of players up for sale on Thursday/Friday. See what cash I can drum up to put towards one good player (or trainee)

I'd train both of them at least a level higher than you're suggesting, probably two.

Right. I've listed Beattie at a starting price of $zero.

Just a tester as I re-enter the market as a seller. Haven't sold a proper first teamer since my original star player back when the thing had just started.

It'll be interesting to see what Beattie makes.

Need advice on who should be my 5th bowler in OD matches. My current attack is wonderful-remarkable-sensational-strong-competent.

How long would that take though? I also need to ensure that Ireland's wages don't become prohibitively expensive.
You would need to train them till they're 22-23yo. Wages don't really become a serious concern until you have players with at least sensational primaries. If you're stopping training before then because of wage concerns you're doing your team a disservice. As a rule of thumb you can sustain a weekly wage bill at least as high as your weekly gate receipts, so if you're making 200k+ I wouldn't worry about wages.

Anyway, if you cap your players' skills at remarkable/wonderful you'll find it very difficult to survive in a higher league (assuming you intend to promote eventually). You'll frequently get taken apart by teams with a couple of higher skilled bowlers or batsmen.

Anyone got advice on where and how i can improve my side... bowling is the major concern at the moment.

Nets are as follows:

Noon: 3 bowling, 1 stamina, 1 field, 1 keep
Eyre: 2 batting
Hurren 2 bowling

While that is true, I did cap 3 of my players at around Remarkable/Wonderful, in the knowledge that my next batch of players would be 3 or 4 levels higher.

But in his case, i would probably train Ireland to Remarkable batting, and maybe Sensational or Exquisite for bowling. Sure the wages might bite, but you need one or two of those types of players to be a competitive squad. As for Middleton, i would only train him to Wonderful or Exceptional, all depending on if you need the nets elsewhere or not.
