TV Rights Fiasco Yet To Be Fixed

The slim chance of the Pakistan tour to India being cancelled due to the fiasco regarding TV rights still remains a small possibility.

Speaking to the Indian Press, the new President of the BCCI, Ranbir Singh Mahendra said he was hopeful of the lingering TV rights issue to be sorted out in the near future.

Mahendra was also confident of an alternate solution if the problem was not resolved until the games between India and Pakistan start.

The BCCI lost over US$34 Million when the temporary television arrangements were made when the Australian and South African teams toured India.

The BCCI hope that similar losses aren’t incurred in perhaps what will be another classic cricket series between two very passionate countries.
