Pakistan recall Asif

Pakistan have recalled fast bowler Mohammad Asif for the final test against England at Lahore. The 23 year-old replaces Shabbir Ahmed in the squad, who has travelled to Australia for work on his controversial action.

Asif has played a test match before, against Australia in January but failed to take a wicket, although he still impressed the selectors with his attitude. He reminded the selectors what he could do by taking 10 wickets against England for Pakistan A in a tour match.

Shahid Afridi, who is banned from the match is also left out, but with Abdul Razzaq still injured no replacement is named.
