Kenya leave Dutch in a spin

The experience Kenya has playing at the top level was the difference between these two teams in this match.

Kenya, having been sent in to bat by the Netherlands posted a competitive total of 274 from their 50 overs thanks to a quick fire 73 from Thomas Odoyo, and Steve Tikolo who hit 51. However, they were in early trouble at 21 for 3.

Daan van Bunge collected three wickets in three overs to finish with figures of 3-41.

The Netherlands by comparison had a great start to their innings. An opening stand of 142 by Darron Reekers and Bas Zuiderent put the Netherlands in a good position. Then Ryan ten Doeschate built on this with 50. He was run out in the 48th over of the innings and then total collapse ensued, with the Netherlands losing their last four wickets for 19 runs.

The off spin of Steve Tikolo stole the match and he ended with figures of 5-48 as well as his half-century with the bat.
