ICC Releases Award Shortlist

The ICC has named the player nominations shortlist for the ICC Awards with four players missing the cut. The four players missing out are all Indians and include Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh.

Along with the player awards, there are awards up for Test team and ODI team of the year along with a Spirit of Cricket Award.

The winners of these awards will be announced in between the Super Series ODIs and the Super Test on October 11.

The shortlist of players up for the awards is as follows:

Player of the Year Andrew Flintoff, Adam Gilchrist, Glenn McGrath, Inzamam-ul Haq and Jacques Kallis

Test Player Adam Gilchrist, Glenn McGrath, Shane Warne, Inzamam-ul Haq, Jacques Kallis

ODI Player Andrew Flintoff, Kevin Pietersen, Adam Gilchrist, Brett Lee and Andrew Symonds

Emerging Player Aftab Ahmed, Ian Bell, Dinesh Karthik, Kevin Pietersen and AB de Villiers
