Harbhajan fit; Yuvraj ruled out

Offspinner Harbhajan Singh is available for selection once more, having missed the entire One Day International series against Pakistan, which India won 4-1.

Harbhajan was out with a bruised spinning finger, but returns to the fray as India prepares to face England in the first of three Tests, starting on March 1.

Middle order batsman Yuvraj Singh has been ruled out of the match with hamstring strain, which he sustained during a matchwinning hundred against Pakistan. The innings came in the fifth and final ODI and capped off a series haul of 344 runs – 172 average – which earned him the Man of Series award.

There are also doubts about the fitness of Virender Sehwag, who suffered a shoulder injury during the Pakistan series. He will continue to be monitored in the build up to the Test.
