Thought I was watching a seamer going to work. Everything is quicker: the run-up, the action, the speed of the deliveries.Does Ashok have a new runup?
Running in faster and straighter. Rather like Sodhi's change?

Are you surprised. His domestic numbers across all formats are terribleKatene Clarke has been abysmal with the bat so far.
respectfully no next up isneed a puking react![]()
Yeah, for some reason he struggles outside T20. Even in T20, he can be a bit here & there. He's probably the weirdest of all NZ's multiple T20 centurions. Are you surprised. His domestic numbers across all formats are terrible
.Not defending them, but they are quite atypical T20 conditions. Tricky pitches and enormous boundaries. That's kinda embarrassing - T20 is highly variable so you get the occasional loss regardless, but shouldn't be just 2 wins from 5 in this tournament.
Quick look at the numbers and a few batters have disappointed - Katene Clarke, M Hay, Abbas all have 3+ innings for a sub 15 average. Jacobs and Boyle have been the best, though by no means great. In fact looking closer, our guys don't have a single fifty plus score in five matches this tournament yet.
Must be a few spin-friendly wickets as Lennos and Ashok have been our best bowlers. Fisher with a great econ rate of 5.4. Most of the rest of the bowlers have ok figures, except Lister conceding 10rpo, and Clarkson too. We really shouldn't be in a situation where Clarkson's bowling 4 overs for 40+ runs in low-mid scoring matches. There are other options.
It's an A team and I expect they learned something from playing in significantly different conditions to NZ. I don't particularly care if they win everything. It shouldn’t matter what the format is, these blokes are supposed to be champing at the bit for higher honours and seizing the opportunities that come their way.
Big boundaries, atypical conditions? So work a bit harder and show you have the intestinal fortitude to get the job done. The Bangladesh players certainly did. They look to have some great talent coming through their system.
