Him and Mortaza could have been a serious new ball pair if not for injuries. And while Mortaza I think was basically predisposed to injury, Talha was simply overbowled as a teenager until they destroyed his back. Still feels tragic.

The only memory I have of Talha Jubair that in a one dayer he beat kallis.
I found a gem of a video. Javed Omar having difficulties playing him in first division league (Dhaka vs Barishal) way back and BTV used to telecast those matches!

Hard to tell in that video but he was getting it up to 135kph+ comfortably as a 17-18 year old at the 2003 World Cup. Was a serious talent.

I know a player getting a county contract isn't the big deal it used to be with all the franchises gobbling up talent, but it's been a long time coming for a Bangadeshi quick bowler to land a deal. I consider it a bit of a watershed.

The only bowler from the current setup I'd have imagined to get a call up in county cricket. Think he will do well there.Hard to tell in that video but he was getting it up to 135kph+ comfortably as a 17-18 year old at the 2003 World Cup. Was a serious talent.

In other news, he got called up in the only test against zimbabwe in zimbabwe. Also finally Hridoy in the test squad. Don't see a place for him in the middle order until mushfiq retires but good to see him in the setup.

I went through and watched every over here bowled cos I'm a cool guy who ****s. Tbf he had some luck with two caught behind from leg-side strangles and a chop-on. The pitch turned to almost a flat one after a day and a half or so. They need to give the new ball to hasan mahmud because thats when he can do some serious damage. The best thing out of this probably for me that I'm in love with county country again. I think other than few highlights I've never properly watched the county streams before. Now I'll switch on whenever I get the time.

Old Trafford turned down the test in May. Which is fair enough as they lose counties money.
0 Ashes tests at any of the 3 Northern counties. Really spreading the game around the country.
Durham used to get the token fixture in May or early June. As you can see just the one headline fixture in their time hosting.
Due to former ECB bidding rules they would lose money on the games, caused them to then get shafted by the ECB. We no longer want them and so England loses a 100% ground for them cos of greed.

There straight up needs to be a northern revolt and eventual secession. It would be a new country with its own capital, army and parliament and its people would be able to determine their own destiny instead of continuing to suffer from the south treating it as an afterthought.
I encourage you to lead the revolt. In that case, you could make the capital Sunderland.

Tamim decided not to hold BPL this year which is a wise decision IMO. His argument is that they dont want to arrange bpl in such chaotic, corrupt way anymore.

After the hammering that our A team received against SA A in the first match, Hridoy is travelling to SA as captain. Think its a good decision finally and also we will get to know where he stands in terms of longer version these days.
