Agree with @nick-o thread should read should be.

Some of the names who will be hoping for a wild card:

Saif Zaib, Dawid Malan, Rocky Flintoff, Matty Hurst, Josh Hull, Sam Hain, the Clark brothers for example come to mind

Otherwise they will be available for the county in the one day cup. Think Surrey are 16 players down for the ODC.

Pakistan have a test tour of West Indies at the same time as the Hundred.

Good chance that Abrar gets picked in the Test squad.

Every chance that Abrar gets picked in the Test squad.
Doubt it personally. I think Noman, Asif and Sajid will all still be ahead of him and I don't see them taking four spinners to the West Indies.

Whatever it takes!!!
Yeah these IPL franchises do their homework. They may even have some insider info that Abrar may not be in the scheme of things for tests.

he played both Tests vs West Indies last year. He took 7 wickets at 14.57. WI aren't good against his kind of mystery legspin. If a pitch turns out to be a little flat, Abrar is a better option than 39 yo Asif.

Pakistan may decide to have variety in their squad over picking two left arm spinners. Abrar over Asif IMO, unless PCB intentionally allow Abrar to feature in the Hundred.

Nah I don't think it was anything of that sort. They wanted a leggie, they missed out on Adil Rashid to Southern Brave, and so then went for Abrar

Good to see Abrar get selected. Don’t care what the Indian twitter nationalists say. He’s a gun and will likely spin a web around the mediocre and clueless English domestic batsmen.
