How many Pakistan players would definitely be picked, all things being equal? Shadab Khan, Shaheen, Tariq, I guess....

Last year just 2 players from Pakistan were picked in the Hundred. That was before the teams in the Hundred were sold off. On merit maybe 2 to 4 can make the cut. Those good enough will get picked up by the remaining four franchises. In fact with so much publicity now, I expect even more Pakistani players this season.

Only nine players from Pakistan have featured across the five seasons so far.

Off topic, but Pakistan's Azam Khan played for the Barbados Royals team in the CPL (2021 & 2022)

Rajastan Royals are the owners of the Barbados Royals.

The GMR owned teams have picked Pak players too. And they are owners of the Delhi Capitals franchise. Pak have a test tour at the same time as this competition so most first choice players wont get picked anyways as they wont be available.

It's not really whether their will be any Pakistani players or not available next season that matters, it has to be a principle that any player could play for any side. It's not only patently unfair if there are unwritten practices going against this, but also could distort the competition. And presumably such practice would continue in future years as well.

the Lancashire women's player's names in the auction which I recognise such as Ellie Threlkeld, Fi Morris, Tara Norris, Emma Lamb seem to be scattered all over the place. Much more thanin previous years. Probably be the same tomorrow. Bit like the scratch relays my swim club used to arrange.
