Tuskers contracted squad.

Schoolboys Josh van Biljon and Ismaeel Omar from Durban HS in the HP contracts.

No Sean Whitehead. New age restrictions for Div 2. Can't contract more than 3 over 29s and have to start at least 3 Under 25s.

Dolphins HP contracts for Sean Gilson, Bandile Mbatha & Tim Saulez. That is a bit meh. So they not expecting them to play. Particularly the last 2.

So really hoping Ross Coetzee joins Blake Simpson at Northern Cape now seeing he isn't down as signed. Josh van Biljon and Ismaeel Omar HPs at Tuskers is interesting. Hopefully they get a chance and show up the Dolphins and then other Div 1 unions get interested in them.

Ross Boast and Ruben Maree both have Knights cricket players on their instagrams so assuming they are signed in some capacity. So wonder if there will be space for Sean Whitehead who could easily be in a Div 1 squad.

For Western Province. Adnaan Lagadien comes with big raps but never showed it for SA U19 internationally. Waco Bassick got injured and I'm wondering if his batting might become more important because of that and it shows in his continued absence from SA U19 side. Michael Kruiskamp the sole SA U19 rep for WP with Paul James moving to NW. You hope they look after him, genuine strike bowler.

For the Lions. There is a lot to work through in Rafeeq Patel, Esosa Aihevba in the bowling and Neil Timmers, Reuben du Toit and Khaya Fakude on the batting but the main take-away is that why waste time when you have the talents of Jason Rowles and JJ Basson. I would be involving them asap

Interestingly, the Colin Bryden cricket annual a friend loaned was for 1999/2000. Busy doing something for the domestic history - the squads for the year are quite fascinating...

Busy updating my KZNI squad and I realise... Whitehead is exactly one year too old. Daelynn Fynn (no shade) is a worse batter and a worse bowler, is only 3 years younger, but gets a contract. Surely this is only having a negative impact on cricket quality. We already have far too many players leaving around 25/26 as it is... Aren't SACA doing something about it?
