South African Domestic Season 2025/26

Dendarii

International Debutant
The Swanepoel incident has made me wonder about something. His being overlooked for the higher honours has seemed strange, especially given how many players the Proteas have tried of late, but could it be that he's a bit of a problematic character off the field?

Leaving in the middle of the match is not something most players would consider, but what else might someone who's prepared to do that have done? If he does have a history of poor behaviour then he might have got away with it at domestic level because he's a good player, but that sort of thing wouldn't fly for the national side.

He's basically another Robbie Frylinck, no great loss to SA cricket, hope the punishment is severe for doing that to the Lions in a final.

More on the Beyers story. He apparently told someone at the titans before he told anyone at the lions.
The county provided the money for the flight but neither them nor the agent booked the flight. Seems it was Beyers or someone close to him.

He needs both CSA and the lions to sign his NOC currently neither is signing it.

Telling Albie Morkel and him concocting a plan to tell the match officials is diabolical 😂

Eathan bowling at Centurion makes me happy.
Yup. Seems like extra cash freed up with Pretorius, Brevis & C Bosch moving to CSA contracts during last season.

Imagine Sibz definitely follows Brand out the door.

Does Jorich and Schalk stay around as young players ? Imagine Janco Smith may want to move.

For the Dolphins. That is a bit of a blow. They have young players but I'm not sure they can count on Smuts and Zondo as senior players anymore so interesting if they maybe bring back someone like Dupavillon.

There is a 4-team tournament in April with Dolphins Young Guns, Titans HP, Namibia A and Zimbabwe Emerging.

Seems a bit of 2005-born onwards selection. So Luus & Mokoena would still be eligible.

I can see Phehlukwayo, Senokwane and Makhanya all leaving potentially. Could see a player like Makhanya contemplating retiring actually and moving into other aspects like coaching...

Senokwane back to Knights maybe?

Sibz is barely 30? I've been critical of his career but to retire would be a surprise.
