In August 2026 we supposedly going to Namibia for a T20I tri-series with Zimbabwe and then staying for 3 ODIs vs Namibia.

In September, the Australia tour starts.

Super 8s stage looking like

India in Ahmedabad
West Indies in Ahmedabad
Australia or Zimbabwe in Delhi

I don't think it's fair but of our first 7 games, 5 are in Ahmedabad & 2 Delhi.

We could play the final in Ahmedabad too.

I think there is always the luck of the draw in any world tournament.

Don't think the India/Pakistan issue has made scheduling and logistics easy either. If things were different I reckon these fixtures wouldn't be pre-determined and there would be jeopardy on coming 1st/2nd. It's a pity.

Wonder what Adrian Kuiper would have been worth in the T20 market today. He played differently to most of our all-rounders.

49-ball 100 against England Rebels in 1989/90. Hit a 6 in our first ODI at Eden Gardens that the whole crowd stood up and cheered. This ODI in 1994 v Aussies he hit Craig McDermott for three 6s in a row and ended up 47* (22) https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...ica-vs-australia-2nd-odi-64450/full-scorecard

He really was a King of the Benson & Hedges Night Series

Really enjoying watching these. Other ones include Peter Kirsten, Omar Henry, Jimmy & Stephen Cook, Shukri Conrad, Brett Schultz, Dale Steyn, Vernon Philander, Farhaan Behardien, Ashwell Prince + more

Nah I think the seeding thing started from way back when no? They had India and Pak drawn up in some seeds in 2007 and it ended up being Bangladesh and Ireland.

Not sure where to put this, but I understand there is an issue with the England tour schedule for next winter with some of the white ball section in doubt because of a clash with the SA t20 domestic competition. I assume there will be some compromise to allow the ODIs to go ahead but maybe the t20s (for the tour) may not be fulfilled this time and played at a later date.

it's a bit disappointing this isn't resolved already. I think the 9 Jan to 14 Feb time slot has been known for quite some time but ECB don't want to budge on doing them after the SA20. Hopefully common sense prevails and they get the 50-overs in, in a WC year like you say.

I think the issue is that England are due to go to Bangladesh in Feb next year and then that random test with Australia in March.

Hmmm, after seeing the Rugby World Cup draw i am beginning to have doubts.
It was a farce
Rugby world cup also the issue of too many teams getting seedings preventing any proper groups getting drawn.

Football much better with only the hosts having automatic qualification.

Cricket and rugby still love their old boys clubs.

SA cricket is in a good place.👌

Along with Temba Bavuma leading the test team. He really should be playing some cricket but I guess it is a total rest of the elbow?

20 Over isn't Parsons' best format. It isn't JHermann's either, though he showed better acceleration in this season than up til this point. Really hope when the tests roll around again the selectors haven't forgotten about Swanepoel. It's getting pretty farcical...
