Man, getting bowled out for 231 after being 3/187 at 38 overs is pretty rough. Bit of a thrashing in the end.

I fear for NZ in the future when Bates and Devine are retired (I appreciate Bates has been useless thus far).
The likes of Green and Halladay seem to have been around for years and while they have both made the odd decent knock, the consistency just isn’t there and I can’t really see either suddenly stepping up if they have to move up the order once the veterans retire.

Shame I haven't been able to tune in to the Bangladesh innings over the last 10 overs. I would have defo got some sleep then! Apparently 16-1 in the last 10. England using an excuse to get their non specialists (Sciver-Brunt and Capsey) through their non 10 with the former having had a very expensive first 2 overs.

Bangladesh seemed intent in trying to bat out 50 overs, unfortunately it meant completely giving up trying to score runs at one point. Ritu's 5 off 36 the highlight.

Rabeya seemingly batting far too low at 9, has shown more shots than the entire top 7 combined.

Fair effort from Rabeya but it came too late. Needed to farm the strike a bit more too, but she's only 20 and hasn't batted a lot in internationals so far. Only 71 runs in ODIs before today.

Not had chance to see much but is Capsey bowling a bit quicker than usual?
Not obviously.

Tough decision for a 3rd umpire there on a caught behind on Knight. It clearly hits pad first, but does it kiss the edge a moment after? Impossible to tell really, Umpire says no, fielders think otherwise.

This is getting interesting, when Marufa gets it right she's bowling some unplayable deliveries. It's definitely doing a lot more under the lights (too much in that case as an lbw gets overturned).

Amy Jones is one of those players who never seems to bat well in games I watch. I'm sure she's a perfectly fine player, I just haven't managed to see it.

Marufa is such a star of this tournament so far. I hope Bangladesh can cause some real headaches for one of the bigger teams.

Looking at the fixtures, the very last game between Bangladesh and India could be interesting. If India are in a position where they're looking to improve their NRR going into the semis, the Bangladeshi bowlers could trip them up.

To be fair, Jones got a good one from Marufa. If she can just cut out all those wides and full tosses then she could be an absolute star. But if you bowl some average stuff to someone of the class of NSB then you'll get punished.

I wouldn't rule Bangladesh having a run for that 4th semi final spot, especially given the NRR issues that SA are going to carry through the group phase. Although, their fielding also needs to tighten up a lot judged on this evidence.
