What if this question was asked to Gautam Gambhir?Isn't it a normal thing to say for anyone who is asked that question?
Absurd rule.4th highest runscorer of the tournament but doesn't get a medal because she got injured. Who even comes up with these rules.
Bangladesh dropping more than they caught is brilliant. Whilst England have clearly improved their fitness levels, I'm not sure 77% should be winning, especially when you won't have any tough slip chances in there to bring averages down. The catching wasn't good.
Apparently Jay Shah arranged her a world cup medal4th highest runscorer of the tournament but doesn't get a medal because she got injured. Who even comes up with these rules.
Yeah tbf the rule makes sense as you cant differentiate between a player who plays 1 game out of 4 and is then injured and out of the squad Vs a Pratika Rawal type situation. Its better the rule can be what it is but you kinda let common sense dictate like they have done here.Apparently Jay Shah arranged her a world cup medal
I think if you're in the squad, you should get a medal regardless. Getting an injury replacement in shouldn't change that, because you've still contributed to the campaign. Even if you play one game and get injured, it's still more of a contribution than squad players who don't get a look in at all.Yeah tbf the rule makes sense as you cant differentiate between a player who plays 1 game out of 4 and is then injured and out of the squad Vs a Pratika Rawal type situation. Fair enough and I hope ICC does change the rules that way soon. But FWIW, I can see why the rule is what it is today.I think if you're in the squad, you should get a medal regardless.
