Time to get this one pinned please.

I would say the warm up matches are in full effect, but 2 were rained off yesterday. Surprisingly, England gave India (not full strength) a battering, with NSB back to her best.

Can anyone stop the Aussies? Well India did beat them just last week, but it's going to be hard.

Starts on Tuesday with the Group Stages going at one game a day for the next 4 weeks. All matches start at 3pm local or 9.30am GMT.

Top 4 go into the semi finals, Final Sun Nov 2nd.

I'll be shocked if Smriti Mandhana doesn't end up the leading run scorer for the tournament. She's in scary form of late.

The current Australian team is definitely vulnerable. Their batting is looking pretty strong, especially with Litchfield back in good form, but I'm not feeling too confident in the bowling atm. They seem to be managing a lot of minor injuries right now as well.

I bet our draft thread will have more discussion than here. Anyways, excited for this mainly due to the draft. C'mon my girls 💪

England about to comfortably beat Aus in final warm up match, surprised to see a match winning knock from Capsey. A few names missing from both teams, Glenn taking 5-32 destroyed the Aussie middle order.

And please can a mod pin this?

Agreed. I wouldn't put it past NSB or one of the Aussies to regularly go big either. It'll be an interesting tournament.

Possibly even Brits unless she has peaked too early and fails here in wc. Has 3 centuries in last 3 matches.

Prediction aside, I'm disappointed she got out because this is not my favourite pairing to watch bat in this team.

Indian women have been biggest underachievers in last ten years. Reached half dozen finals only to choke
I don't think that's really fair. I'd say their professional development and support was lagging behind some of the other top countries for a number of years and they still achieved some impressive results. It's only the past couple of years that they've been a bit disappointing. I think there's a stronger argument for the Indian men's team underachieving (in T20 world cups at least) considering the depth of talent they were able to develop in the IPL.

I've been on a call with a friend trying to book flights and this collapse has been very distracting (and confusing for my friend).

I haven't been following India too closely but I feel as though Richa Ghosh hasn't been making many runs for a while? Is that right?
