Shocking stuff from Bouchier. Can’t hit boundaries, runs Knight out by being lazy, gets out next ball.

As usual, the batting has massive issues when it’s tested.

Middling scores from the top order but get out as soon as there are a few dots or as they try to accelerate. Some of these players have had plenty of rope.

We urgently need Gaze and Plimmer to find a bit of form, but what a great recovery from Devine and Green.

I've often complained about Green's inconsistency, but she's been fantastic in both ODIs and T20s this year. I think that's three 50s and a 141* from her last eight innings for NZ.

To be fair, she’s not been alone. The NZ top order has been dreadful this series, and Devine won’t be bailing them out today.

Got a feeling the returning Burgey’s fork can be stuck in this one.

Fancy not using one of your two remaining reviews when you lose your 8th wicket. Sure enough it was missing.

Not that it's going to matter of course but still that's a bit dumb.

That got evened up by Capsey who got a shocker, and for some reason Dunkley told her not to review (there were 2 left and they're chasing 80!!). You might almost think Dunkley wanted Capsey to fail. Even in the chase of such a paltry total, the batters still looked poor. Hopefully, the return of DWH to the top order will help against India, although who bats with her (would like it to be Capsey but suspect it will be Dunkley) remains in question.

To be honest, a pretty poor series and I doubt the big 2 will be quaking having seen what was on offer.

Swallow your pride and back NZ to win the tourney @26-1

Garbage tourneys usually produce garbage winners. Apart from Bates we can't be any worse than 2 years ago.
If you don't and NZ win you'll have to put up with me reminding you about it for the next 20 years.

I wouldn't put any money on that NZ batting order. At least England have a couple of better players to bring back in, but NZ looked a real mess. Devine prevented it from being embarrassing in the first, rescued them in the second, couldn't help them in the third. Ironically, if she hadn't come in so early in the 2nd game, I doubt NZ win.

Not convinced NZ even get out of what looks a really weak group with WI.

Our batting wasn't amazing last time either. They just gave enough for the bowlers to defend, which they did every time except the one where they had to chase.

Then again, that T20WC was weird because all the good bowling attacks were in Group A & the good batting lineups were in Group B, or was it the inverse? I don't know, I'm still confused.

Well, I backed them at 34/1 a month ago. Seemed value to me at that price especially after their performance against Proteas women. But they need to sort their opening woes, can't expect Melie and Devine to rescue every time. Also, England at 4/1 doesn't seem that bad to me. They always play well at home and the squad looks reasonably balanced. Bell is mega gun in the first over almost to the levels of peak Boult and peak Shaheen. It's very crucial in modern T20 to pick early wickets and her success helped RCB win their second WPL title. Think she's the best new ball bowler in the tournament alongside maybe Kapp. That's why England should be second favourites after Australia who themselves are a rubbish price at 2/3.

Agree about Australia, seems like they're being priced up on what they've achieved in the last 20 years rather than the last 2. This is not the same team and now without Healy too and a novice skipper.

I'd still go with India myself, but we'll learn more about them in the next few days with 3 games against England.

Ecclestone seems to have gone from world’s best bowler to about 4th best spinner in the England squad. Just not the same player at all now.

Fielding once again very average. India heading to 200.
