This is something we'll have to get used to. The grinding Test game where you look to bat teams out of contests is pretty well gone....but something if we'd been good enough, we could have done here

Phillips is starting to remind me of late-career Craig McMillan. He seems to have forgotten how to build an innings and is just looking to play million-dollar shots irrespective of the match situation. A dismal bloody innings that ended in an utterly predictable manner.

Yeah so that's runs...but it's pretty hard to know if he's regressed when he hasn't played at the highest level for 9 months, and not had a Test bat for 12.

To be fair to Mike, he did average 29 in 2024 in Tests, in 20 knocks.
