They don't seem inclined to try finding out. He'll be behind Hatcher, who only played once this season. That said, them giving Rogers a two-year contract was more questionable. McDonald could be a decent pickup for one of the weaker teams.

Not sure about that considering he's already 27 but he could be one off those players who regularly puts in a useful contribution.

On the other hand, of course the Stars were keen to re-sign Maxwell. Ditching one or both of him and Stoinis might actually be what they need.

Jackson looks way better than Couch from what I've seen.

I was slightly surprised and more disappointed that he didn't play ahead of Couch.

That is surprising. Probably helps that NRL & AFL split the winter sporting audience (?soccer as well), and Big Bash is pretty much the only game in town for those months
