Edwards has been lucky to keep his spot this big bash. Been embarrassing. About the 18th best allrounder in the comp
Dude gunned it at the start of the tournament didn't he, and commentators were talking him up as the next Kallis? I was going to say next Cam Green but that doesn't seem like much hype.

Apparently the Thunder were trying to poach Maxwell. Considering his age and form, seems like a waste of money.

Another Manly DCC golden child. If he played west of the Anzac bridge he wouldn’t get a look in

Edwards has been very good in fc but very poor in this BBL

Commentators were hyping him up the other day after his Oz selection and it was pure CA propaganda

Why is Edwards getting so much hate? Absolutely brainless. He's the second leading wicket taker, fielded well and played a few handy cameos. Had some bad games and batting could have been more consistent, but he's more than done his job.

They're jealous of his height, frame and Aryan genetics

Reading the latest player movement news on Fox sports, Thornton's out of contract. So will the Renegades be sensible enough to consider him?

Exactly who they need. They need some experienced batsmen too and a general clean out, but getting some pace is their no.1 requirement. Now that the sixers are benching Silk for Shaw, I wonder if the gades can negotiate an offer for him too?

Looks like Adelaide re-signed him anyway, even though he barely got any game time. I want to know why Tim Kelly is still on their books. They also have Straker for some reason. Looking at out of contract options for them, Couch and Jackson are options.

I always find some of the retentions strange. I'm guessing it must be for salary cap reasons, but why guys like Anlezark (Stars) have long contracts when there seems to be no intent to play them mystifies. The Thunder signing Hadley for two more seasons too, despite his less-than-good performances. Whereas Perth manages to hang onto pretty much all their core players.

I'd take Couch if he's available. I don't have an opinion on Jackson (presuming you mean Bryce Jackson) as I haven't seen him bowl. But would take him if the gades couldn't get anyone else. I wonder where you can get news on BBL player movements? Could be a good addition extending the thread.

No mystery, they're investing hoping he'll get better
Except they don't look like playing him and his contract runs out after next season. Are they going to re-sign him again, having not seen fit to pick him?

Jackson's looked pretty quick in the one day cup. Seems to be a bit fragile but that shouldn't matter as much for T20. I think he looks better than Couch, but I don't really rate the latter.

I'm just going by what's on the CA website

The whole 'player movement window thing' is a bit silly anyway. Clubs can retain ten (which they've all done) and can have a max of twelve at the end of the window on Thursday. That's not a lot of movement.
