I think we need to groom a seamer all rounder for 2027 WC ..
That's why I was disappointed they dropped Chamindu Wickramsinghe ..even Chamika Karunaratne is a solid option at 7 if Hasaranga is at 8 ..

If you can have a lower order of 7.Karunaratne/Wickramasinghe
8.Hasaranga
9.Wellalage
It will be good ..

Asalanka and Liyanage can handle 6th bowling duties

Whenever I have seen Wellalage play for SL, he has done well. Not sure why he is not playing and batting at 8.

After the Tests they played recently, to some extent they should be happy with how competitive they were. But Zimbabwe cricket is really absolutely littered with close losses.
