Pakistan did not win the last six series they played in England so maybe it is normal to expect England to win this time

If there continues to be no rain in England then I reckon the Pakistan spinners might be more in play than they would otherwise!

No rain in the south anyway where all the games are getting played.

Been raining all night and day here in the North East. We've been pretty green throughout the summer, as had the odd days of rain.

The sight of some of the pitches down south look grim, Beckenham looking like a desert.

Not sure where this is

Yeah, so many fields are really very straw coloured in a way that seems to be far worse than last summer. I mentioned on the miscellaneous cricket thread that I played on Saturday. It was very dry there and the ball lost any real shine after the first five overs and it was a Dukes too!

Yet some rich school in London is pristine. In Westminster a band D property pays less council tax than a band A in Northumberland. Where you can get a band A property for as low as 20k in some parts of the county

Yeah bang out of order. I know that the England team sometimes use Vincent Square to train but that's dreadful and completely disrespectful to the rest of town.

It is just about 15 days for the start of this tour and only 6 people (excluding me) replied on this thread. Considering the number of English fans on this website 6 people seems low.

If there is a thread under a different title already covering this series, please do mention. And also mention if there is none

I think it is because it was started some time ahead of the series taking place and with such a break between the New Zealand series and this. It has been hard to figure out developments, not least since Pakistan are currently playing in the West Indies before flying here.
