So sounds like the plan was always to rest O'Rourke and Jamieson for this test. I'm not sure that's a good idea given the asset each of them would be in a four-day test, and their paucity of red-ball cricket.

Hate how cuddled the modern day fast bowler is, bunch of softies ..

O'Rourke hasn't bowled in a FC match since August 2025 due to injury, he doesnt need more prep he needs time out in the middle.
Any more wool this guy is wrapped up in he'll be mistaken for a sheep.

From BBC site: "... minimum of 98 overs each day with this being a four-day Test. The morning session goes from 11:00 to 13:30, then it's 14:10 to 16:10 in afternoon and 16:30 to 18:30 for the evening session."
