{{Insert "it was a league of plumbers and postmen in Wilt's day" excuse here}}
They still were when Jordan played (according to LeBron glazers).

Although in more seriousness, the professional game was in its infancy when Wilt started his career. The NBA was barely a decade old when Wilt joined Philadelphia, slam dunks were still not widely accepted as fair play and it would be another twenty years before the 3-point line was finally introduced.

If we want to compare Wilt to a cricketer, it'd be better to look at WG Grace as a Colossus who stood across the game in it's formative years, rather than the Don, who came much later. MJ and the Don might be more comparable.

We’ve got a good mayor and a decent basketball team. I’ll take that
But if you win, what will be left of your city once Knicks fans are done with it? Think about it.

Me and the wife are trying to visit the actual city of New York sometime, not a smoldering heap of ruins, desolation, and raider attacks.

It’s not gonna be any worse that King’s Landing after Dany went Mad Queen on it.

NYC always finds a way back!

To be honest, it's more than a decent basketball team. It's got 3 legit stars in Anunoby, Towns, and Brunson, all dominating games in an incredibly balanced manner.
