I watched Sooryavanshi's 90 in the first innings. Thought was very lucky to get that, still got that baseball swing while facing new ball which makes him very vulnerable against good bowlers. Not to mention the reckless slogs he plays from time to time.
I don't think he is remotely prepared for international red ball yet. Hopefully, he will soon be, atleast he has ample time.

Forget international, he's also not ready for good quality FC atm. Definitely not as an opener, mo would be good where he can bash the spinners.

Whatever it takes!!!
WTF argument is needed for thinking someone is good other than thinking someone is good? Idiots always gonna think they need to argue, real people will understand opinions are subjective especially around things like understanding what the ceiling for a 15 year old kid who has just started playing this game at this level in the last year and a half is.

Just so much wrist slitting, I am almost positive abhay is not even Indian.

What are talking about clown? I have appreciated Sooryavanshi as much as anyone in this thread for his exploits in the IPL. Talking about his great natural talent and even writing a full detailed post on it but sorry expected too much from an illiterate, 'gawar' like you to understand it.

I was tagged here for my opinion on his recent performance and expressed views on it but you out of nowhere had to barge in with your personal insults. A miserable middle aged **** polluting the thread with his nonsense.

And who the **** are you to question me? The guy with giant victim complex that is also nasty towards posters from neighboring country, I guess that only makes you Indian here. Thankfully, I am above your pathetic standards. I am more than certain that you are racist, xenophobic piece of ****.

I saw highlights where he did look very jammy. What’s encouraging is I don’t think he was beaten when he did try to defend. He started a lot slower in tougher conditions in the second innings and did well.

He’s definitely going to have some struggles but there’s plenty of time for him to learn. I agree that batting in the middle order may end up more suitable for him in certain conditions because it’s not like you have powerplays in tests.

He needs to play complete season/s of FC cricket. For that, India need to avoid picking him for T20I series that coincide with Ranji Trophy. For eg, he shouldn't be on the tour to New Zealand in October. But I don't see it happening. They'll keep picking him.

There are four FC games scheduled in the first half of the season. If he gets picked for NZ T20Is (which runs from 22 Oct till 1 Nov), he will miss games two, three and four. If he gets picked for WI T20I series too, he will miss game one as well.

I would send him in the Ind A tour of NZ than have him play the white ball games against NZ tbh. I believe the A series does not clash with the T20Is but only with the ODIs. So he should be good to go for both the T20Is and the A tests.

The A series clashes with both, starting 24 October (he could play the first T20I on 22 October).
