Zimbabwe batsmen are making t20i hundreds for fun
Yes but there's such a huge gap between Zim, Namibia and everyone else you could call it a farcical tournament if Uganda hadn't beaten Zim in the last one. The real farce was Zim having to play Gambia, Rwanda, the Seychelles etc in the pre qualifying but they only had themselves to blame for being there.

African cricket noob here, what happened to Kenya? I’m guessing ‘corruption’ hasn’t helped, but I doubt that is unique to Kenya!

I know they’re only getting back to the stage they were at 4 years ago rather than achieving anything new, but after the last few months Zimbabwe have had, I am pleased that they’ve got the job done

Usually when I say something like this, it means my team (in any sport) will balls it up and the comment would come back to bite me but fortunately not this time.

And a whole stinking heap of factionalism. People from the county associations are more concerned about cornering the few coins that still come from the ICC, or match fixers and such shady individuals, than having any sort of unifying vision for the game as a whole.

Samoa beat PNG whose slide continues, but an impressive display from Samoa for whom Ross Taylor retired hurt early and Darius Visser didn't fire, NZ domestic player Sean Solia was the hero for them today, looking likely for them to reach the Super 6s

Samoa's problem is a lot of these guys with experience are coming to them after their FC careers. Solia might be in his prime (at least according to Gary Stead).

On the other hand, Solomon Nash (https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/crick...-headline-squads-for-inaugural-cricket-series) is building up a decent little T20I record for this level at a young age.
