Anyway, even if I'm exaggerating a bit, thing is as you're preparing for the World Cup cycle you've got to at least be competitive, regardless of who you send out, or the conditions.

2 out of 3 games, Australia really were not. Simple as that.

No one is saying otherwise. Congratulations to Pakistan. But it is a warm up series and I wonder whether if its good practice for the WC conditions? I'm not really expecting Ws from this tour either here or in BD, but it would be good to see some players put in better performances than they have.

Marsh ruled out of Bangladesh ODIs while Head is out of the entire Bangladesh tour after requesting time off to rest after the IPL.

So the Aussie bats remain the same as Pak ODI tour with Short and Peake added, while Murphy replaces Sangha who has a hamstring injury

Bartlett, Carey, Connolly, Dwarshuis, Ellis, Green, Inglis (c), Kuhnemann, Labuschagne, Murphy, Peake, Renshaw, Scott, Short, Zampa

Given Marsh and Head are the only 2 international quality bats it's not great for the team but in another way it's great news because Peake and Short leaving while Marnus stayed was insanity. Now all they need to do is use a bit of common sense and not pick Marnus in the XI (not holding my breath though)

Pitch has a green tinge apparently. With Connelly not bowling and Green having bowled only 3 overs in the 3 games vs Pak surely it has to be time for a Liam Scott debut for maybe:

Short, Inglis, Green, Renshaw, Carey, Peake, Scott, Bartlett, Kuhnemann, Ellis, Zampa

So they have Connolly opening with Renshaw at 7. At least Scott debuts but batting 8 where Dwarshuis could have played as a better bowler? And Labuschagne picked again...

It's hard to know what a good result would be on this leg of the winter purgatory tour. I'd have been surprised if we won anything, but they've rolled out this deck which should suit our bowlers if nothing else.

Good job, Marnus. Puts down a dolly after taking a hanger earlier.
