19 year old Oliver Peake made his List A 50 over debut for Australia A before he'd played for Victoria, and he was selected for Australia A in a FC game after one shield match

So despite no record to warrant selection, pretty sure he'll make his ODI debut vs Pakistan 😀

Hopefully we put out pitches that will actually be of use for both teams to practice on. Even our own players were pissed off last time and said it put all the batters out of form.

I don't know why mirpur getting all the odis and also all the t20s in chattogram. Think Sylhet is a better venue but other two generating more money for bcb could be the reason.

We’re experimenting with our squads though apart from Smith missing from the T20 squad and Cummins, Haze and Starc not getting picked for one reason or another, the best players are making at least one squad. (I’d like to see Webster given a go though). Looks like the Owen train is derailed and dragging Stanlake’s career from the crypt to partner Meredith at least gives us pace.

Green may miss the 1st ODI vs Pak depending if KKR get through to the IPL finals. If so who are they getting the 5th bowler 10 overs from?

Wouldn't that mean Liam Scott has to play at #7 for his ODI debut?

If Scott doesn't play they'd need 10 overs from Marsh, Short and Renshaw which could get very ugly 😀

I'd have more faith in Short and Renshaw's bowling in a subcontinental white ball game than Green's

Don't worry green will be there for first match

Coach McDonald says he wants Green to be the new ODI finisher so expecting to see him bat 7

Since Maxwell retired from ODI they tried Owen at 7, but he hasn't made the squad and they want Tim David to do it, but he's not made himself available for ODI. So I guess Green is the only power hitter left?

So Inglis the new ODI captain vs Pakistan with Marsh out. I guess he's also opening with Short?

1. Short
2. Inglis (c)
3. Labuschagne
4. Renshaw
5. Carey (+)
6. Green
7. Scott
8. Ellis
9. Kuhnemann
10. Zampa
11. Meredith / Stanlake

Reserves: Peake, Sangha

That is one really horrible ODI team

Funny that Head, Connolly, Dwarshuis and Bartlett all missed the Pakistan ODI Tour due to playing IPL finals, but all their teams are now out of IPL so could have played

Maybe they bring in one of them to replace the injured Marsh?

lol that's a WSC or mid-80s level Aus side. Appalling.

The worst thing about it is most of the players aren't even young blokes starting out, in which case you could give it a pass as a tour to give new players experience.

Let's be real, no one cares enough to go to the effort
