ODIs and Tests Combined Draft

Thala_0710

Cricketer Of The Year
Jones to 3 in ODIs?
Don't go by the order written down here necessarily in the ODIs team for mine...
Barrington is an insurance policy against the openers failing... If Greenidge and Tendulkar give a good start (which they should on most occasions), then Jones comes in at 3 yeah

Final RXIS:

1. Yashasvi Jaiswal /
2. Travis Head / o
3. Ted Dexter (c) / o
4. Kumar Sangakkara /
5. Denis Compton / o
6. Shakib-al-Hasan / o
7. Brendan McCullum + /
8. Shaun Pollock o /
9. Peter Pollock o /
10. Bill O'Reilly o
11. Shane Bond o

Talented, aggressive batting from the top all the way down the order, would be a fun team to watch in Tests as well as in ODIs. To satisfy my inner @honestbharani it also has a mix of RH/LH batsmen and a stupid number of bowling options for the white ball games (including right- and left-arm finger and wrist spin). Lord Ted gets the captain's armband as one of the early pioneers of List A cricket who captained Sussex to the title in the first two List A tournaments held.

Aren't you overloaded with lefties in the top 6?

You should have picked Ross Taylor instead of McCullum
Surprised Taylor went unpicked given he was great in both formats! But I didn't want Sanga to have to keep (for Test format at least) so I was specifically looking for another keeper. Plus I thought my ODI side needed some more firepower more than it needed more ballast. Also I didn't think of Taylor.

My biggest regret was not picking Colin Bland. He was the first player I thought of at the start of this draft - basically Jonty with much better batting and thus an amazing ODI option, but then incredibly Aubrey Faulkner was still available so I decided to pick one of the greatest allrounders of all time and then had no space for Bland, but I'm really surprised no one else picked him.

I strongly considered Taylor but that would have meant batting one of Taylor, Chappell, Hussey or Rice out of position at 3 in my test team

Since both formats are being considered 50/50 with voting, why should only the test order be included?
Because not everyone posted a line-up for both formats. The X! remains the same for both and I think participants can envisage any necessary batting line-up changes.
