Viv and AB purely for destructive ability. I think Sachin matched that in mid to late 90's but Viv and AB sort of maintained that throughout their careers. Plus, the versatility that De Villiers brings with being able to bat middle, lower order which in my opinion is a tougher job in limited overs cricket.
Viv and Sachin's bowling cancel each other out. De Villiers keeping clear edge over Kohli.
Overall, more flexibility and better balance.

What a dumb comparison to make. Viv averages 4 runs more than Greenidge as it is, at almost a 30 higher SR.
Otoh, The difference between Kohli's and ABD's average is of 8, while his and Buttler's is of 11; their SR being being different by 8 and 16 respectively.

Sachin, Viv, AB, Abbas and Kohli, they all averages same after era adjustment ( more or less )
But only one among them clearly incapable of consistent highest level fast scoring.
