Can I suggest Norovirus where you want to chuck up and pebble dash the toilet at the same time trumps this (is that Perth?).

It seems from the above comments that being struck down with amoebic dysentery is likely when visiting Australian cities. So travelling to watch the BC’s in Australia is a calculated risk.

Stick to real Newtown for better coffee and food at reasonable prices.

Newtown's great. Restaurants, nice little shops, good nightlife. The Basin is 10 minutes down the road. The zoo is 10 minutes up the road. Quick access to the town belt for walking and mountain biking. The only thing missing is a boutique movie theater.

Moon in Newtown is one of the best grassroots venues in Wellington at the moment.

I also think Margot is probably the best fine dining in Wellington, despite not really marketing or pricing itself in the fine dining category.

Well, I'll be arriving in Sydney at 8.30am on the morning of day 2 and going to the game from the start of that day, so yeah, it will be. Unless Australia dramatically collapses twice in a day and NZ puts up 300 in 50 overs in-between.

Thinking of attending either the Sydney or Adelaide test but then I'm also thinking of booking tickets to the NRL Grand Final and I also have no money so this could be hard.

I have tickets for the first 3 days of the Sydney test.

Hopefully the series is still alive. Hopefully the game lasts at least 3 days.

‘Hope springs eternal’. So far events in 2026 has given cause for hope. And off the back of this hope I think there will be large numbers of Kiwi supporters attending these tests.

Wellington zoo is a hole imo. Too small, not really fit for purpose. Newtown is great other than that.

The zoo has some good bits to it. Reckon it has a cracker of a kiwi exhibit.
