you can't generalise that. not everyone's favorites are knocks from his own country men

abd 33 of 220 balls in adelaide 2012, 43 of 228 balls in cape town 2014 and jos buttler 26 of 207 balls in adelaide 2021. They are few great grinding knocks i guess but the 2014 and 2021 knocks did not save their team from losing the match

b) was contra to the opinions of all the expert commentary i was listening to (in game commentators and overnight podcasts)

Genuinely decided the series tbh. Aus bowlers were exhausted which carries onto the next games and going out to bat after 2 days in the field isn't exactly a picnic
