What a sob story as well, the "Outgrounds" we play on cost us a lot of money.
As I recall the school ground was only played on once due to issues with drainage.even for the novelty of playing on/watching cricket at one of the two closest first-class cricket grounds: the school ground and the OMT ground.
I think you are right. I was there in 2014 and was told they were the closest two first class cricket grounds. IIRC their boundaries were close at one point. The local who told me wouldn't know back then that they would not return to the one first used.As I recall the school ground was only played on once due to issues with drainage.
The idea of Middlesex having a permanent home away from Lord’s has being doing the rounds for decades. At one point Ealing was considered, then Radlett. It would though be a very expensive undertaking. What a sob story as well, the "Outgrounds" we play on cost us a lot of money.
Why isn't some of the "Hundred" money GIVEN to Middlesex for this very reason.?
if under new managementI wonder if the domestic season might have some renewed importance come April/May time? Got a feeling a few England spots may be up for grabs and County performances might actually be considered in future selections.
Oh how kind of Billings to play for Kent whenever he feels humble enough to.Billings Signs new Kent Deal to 2026
