Damn too close..... I rate Martyn were slightly ahead as batsman, but it's very slightly. Mathews is somewhat a handy bowler tho, but don't know how much value to add for that really.

Mathews because he could properly bowl. Didn't bowl much, though Even as batsmen, Mathews is slightly ahead. But I'd watch Martyn every day over ugly bludgeons from Mathews.

Yeah I also have Mathews slightly ahead as a batsman, even if I know who I'd (much) rather watch bat. The useful, accurate bowling which kept the batsmen quiet while the main bowlers were having a rest makes this a moderately easy decision for me.
