I got 53 years with two players once (Hemmings to Trescothick) so with three we should be able to go way beyond 57

Today for reasons best left unknown I found myself staring at a scorecard of Minor Counties vs South Africa in 1960 and it came to notice that Jack Ikin (who made his first class debut in 1934) and Bob Taylor (who played his last first class match in 1988) had overlapping careers.

The oldest iirc was an Indian minister who played in only that one game, because he could. Didn't field or anything, don't remember even if he batted.
Close also played alongside Freddie Brown (debut 1931).
For FC matches, WG Grace (debut 1865) played against Jack Hobbs (last match 1934) on Hobbs's debut.
