He's better than both thoughRoot picked before Kane and Faf seems odd to me
Disagree. I'd also rather have Ganguly at 3, even though he mainly opened, instead of Root. He's better than both though
They have been better in WCs but Root has been better overall imo. Root is a slightly faster version of Williamson really and has longevity over Faf.Disagree. I'd also rather have Ganguly at 3, even though he mainly opened, instead of Root.
Root hasn't done enough in World Cups imo averaging just under 45, in contrast to Kane's 61.5 and Faf's 57.8.
Post 2010, WCs have been FAR FAR more important than any other ODIs, or else Gill would've been picked by now. They have been better in WCs but Root has been better overall imo. Root is a slightly faster version of Williamson really and has longevity over Faf.

I'd also take Underwood, Qadir, Mendis, (and possibly Adil Rashid & Kumble) before Rashid plus Afridi, Santner, and Jadeja when allround skills and value are considered.I'm just not convinced by Rashid because he has been meh in world cups and his overall record is skewed by minnows. Kuldeep and Zampa have been better. I would probably take Hogg and Vettori before Rashid too.
Me too. Changed it to Hogg.Oh, I assumed Hogg had already been picked. Changing my vote
